But the driver does not let me change country or region like the Vostro. According to what I could find out each country has a different rule in the channels. They mention the different parameters between regions. And they always come to the conclusion that my machine is too modern for Latin America (an answer that seems too inadequate). I called the support of DELL several times and, depending on who attends me, makes me do different tests, uninstall things, change the parameters, etc. everything they suggest in chats, blogs and Internet sites without success. I updated the drivers, BIOS, searched for Bloatware, uninstalled SmartByte, anyway. If I connect it through cable it works perfect. I have done tests with the SW Speednet test on this machine and on an old Vostro that I have to compare: it always gives me a speed between 4 to 6 times slower as it descends but it coincides with the speed of rise. The wireless network connection is very poor and I have tried it in different places. I live in Argentina and bought the machine in the UK through a friend in the month of December 2017. Have a Qualcomm QCA9377 802.11ac Wifi network card. I copied the files /lib/firmware/ath10k/QCA9377 from ubuntu18 to Debian10 but no luck.I own an Inspinotebook with Intel Core i7-8550U processor, CPU 1.8GHz 1.99 GHz with 16 Mb of RAM. When I boot the Ubuntu 18 live usb and check for dmesg it doesn't show those failures of loading the calibration files/modules.
It is very strange since even with the ubuntu 18 live usb I can get ~400 Mbit on speedtest.
Now I am on Debian Bullseye (5.9.0-1-amd64) since I was thinking that is something kernel related, but no luck.

In the past I was using Ubuntu 18.04LTS and I didn't had this problem, in fact when I did the ubuntu 20 update I had encountered the same low speed problem, so I returned to 18.04.īut I would like to keep using Debian for a couple of reasons and this issue is bothering me.
